She sighed and pushed a hand through her hair, “Fine, I suppose you were more worried about dying.  If I find anything interesting investigating on my own I’ll swing by and inform you.”

He shrugged, waving a hand. “If you so desire. I do not anticipate seeing the woman again. She did not strike me as an intellectual, nor one who truly cares to face her fears.”

“Now Crane, you don’t know that.”

“Perhaps not, but I do not anticipate second session to go any better.”

He sneered, “Yes, well, our disagreement was more that I refused to take the time to check her claims.”

“Well, what was she claiming exactly?  Having something to look up and explore will take my mind off some things.  Help me relax, maybe.”
